Hello and welcome to Exploring the Ark, a journal following my journey in learning about the world of Creatures Exodus and the wonderful beings who live there! My name is Mip and I am fairly new to Creatures 3 and Docking Station so I have a lot to learn and a lot to discover! I plan to use this journal to keep and share stories about the inhabitants of the worlds I create, as well as notes on topics I am learning about such as creature genetics (which I currently know next to nothing about!).

It has been a long time since I have properly played a Creatures game. I loved the original Creatures and was inseparable from Creatures 2 when I was younger but in the end I never progressed on to Creatures 3. Eventually, I lost my old game discs and the time spent in Albia simply became a fond memory for me. That is, until recently! A budding Let's Play of Creatures 3 inspired the nostalgia in me to purchase Creatures Exodus and learn afresh the joys that nurturing norns can bring.

So, here I am. I have had some problems getting the game to work correctly (which I will write up in a post of its own - maybe I can help others who have had similar issues!) and have had a few test plays while trying to solve issues with my system but am otherwise totally new to this game. And there's no time like the present to get started.

Please enjoy your stay!

Welcome to the world of Creatures blogging, Mip! I hope things go well for you and getting your game to work. There always seem to be a few odd glitches that pop up, yet it's usually a minor solution that fixes everything. I look forward to reading about your adventures! Good luck!

Re: Welcome!
Thank you very much for your comment and kind words. I seem to have gotten all the errors sorted out for now - I even found a way to get the finicky biochemistry set to work (eventually)! So I think I'm set to get this thing rolling!
